Need help to identify it. Might be Metaleptea brevicornis.

female Melanoplus
are often hard to identify. This is almost certainly Melanoplus femurrubrum, though there is a chance it is M. sanguinipes or another. males have a wider, usually more rounded tip to the abdomen, and clear view that show the tip of the male abdomen are the easiest to identify in this genus. Some species look very distinct, but many are very similar looking.

Metaleptea look very different - here's one for comparison: . My guess is that this is a Melanoplus sp.
Also, this is a female.
