it intrigues me because it looks like Rhacognathus punctatus,
a rather nice palaearctic asopine that has an apparently vicariant sp. here in the Northeast

 
that would be very cool
I'll attempt to raise them.

My first thought upon finding it was actually Picromerus bidens, but that seems a bit off.
