I think this is the call but it seems that my wasp has way less body hairs than the ones shown in guide. Please confirm, anyone?

Confirmed - Vespula vidua
Interesting shot of a worker, which shows that this species too enjoys sweet marmalade. As for the hairiness, workers tend indeed to be less hairy than queens and above all males (pictures of these latters being the most numerous in BG).

Thank you, Richard. That was Grape jelly that we leave for out Gray Catbirds. Many kinds of wasps and bees.
