Grammia ornata? - Apantesis ornata

Grammia ornata? - Apantesis ornata
Ladd Marsh, LaGrande, Union County, Oregon, USA
June 20, 2014
Went out mothing at Ladd Marsh with EOU biology professor Karen Antell and Pacific Northwest poet George Venn. The sunset was spectacular. The Barn Owl flew right overhead to check us out. The first moth to arrive was what we believe is Grammia ornata. Had a great time. Looking forward to revisiting the experience through George's gifted words sometime. :)

Moved from Grammia.

I'd agree with ornata
Based on range and date, Grammia ornata looks correct to me. See reference here
