Bombus species on Locoweed, RMNP - Bombus appositus

Bombus species on Locoweed, RMNP - Bombus appositus
Rocky Mountain National Park, Larimer County, Colorado, USA
July 11, 2014
Size: BL ~ 21.5
This handsome Bombus was seen in Hidden Valley, elevation ~ 9200 feet, in Rocky Mountain National Park. The combination of black pleura, extensive rusty hairs on terga 2,3 and 4, and the black face with yellow hairs suggests a queen B. rufocinctus. Any help with its ID is much appreciated.

A surprise. I didn't realize they could be so reddish. Thanks so much for the ID.

It's a nice shot, too.
