Adults fly late-June to early August. (1)
Food
Larval hosts are fiddlewood (Citharexylum) and yellow trumpetbush (Tecoma stans). (1)
See Also
Compare with Ceratomia sonorensis. C. sonorensis is smaller and some specimens will have the dark streaks on the forewing, although generally less pronounced. Also, M. florestan has greenish cast to the thorax. (3), (4)
