Black and Vermilion, white trimed moth - Ctenucha multifaria

This was a fast determined flier compared to most moths I see. It is perched under a California Hazel, and was in a semi moist area near Thimbleberry, where Houndstongue had existed last spring.

300 pages
Thank you. I looked through 300 pages of Lichen and Tiger moths and finally just gave up and did the PS work and submitted it. Interesting, the reference you gave me is someone I know too!
