Dicyphus famelicus

Dicyphus famelicus
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
June 24, 2006
Out of the 25 Dicyphus species present in North America (Nearctica), only a few (less than 5) are found in Quebec. That facilitates identification.
The ventral surface yellow, first antenna segment not black and head without black area, are distinctive features with this one.
Identification confirmed by Dr. Michael Schwartz, Agriculture Canada.

Claude, how about taking a stroll through
the Heteroptera images here and see if you can identify any of them. There are also many unknowns on the individual family pages too.

...
Yes, I have already begun. I did Halticus species. But I am not an expert and have to be careful.

Thanks for any help you can provide
Sometimes, simply getting pointed in the right direction proves a major help to me, and I'm sure I'm not alone! Glad you're looking at these, Claude.
