larva - Ogdoconta tacna

larva - Ogdoconta tacna
Austin, Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center, Travis County, Texas, USA
June 19, 2014
For about 3 weeks these caterpillars were found in a large patch of Zexmenia hispida. Since this one looked to be almost mature, I collected it to raise. I suspected it was O. tacna because I've seen adults in the area, and the larvae resemble those of O. cinereola.
