Townsendia nigra and penny - Townsendia nigra

Townsendia nigra and penny - Townsendia nigra
O'Leno State Park, Columbia County, Florida, USA
June 25, 2005
Size: 4-5 mm
Look closely - the fly is on the left. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to place a penny near a fly who doesn't want to be near your penny?

Can't say I've ever tried it, but I can appreciate the problem.
A fine way to date the photo - now I'll always carry a new penny!
