parasitized caterpillar -
Dolba hyloeus
Ponemah Bog, Amherst, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
August 19, 2012
I've added a photo of the host plant as well if it'll help with ID of the caterpillar or parasitoids. Found in a bog.

Moved- Not Manduca sexta
Moved from
Carolina Sphinx
.
This appears to be an early instar
Dolba hyloeus
due to the hostplant (Ilex species?) and the six prominent diagonal lateral strips (as oppose to seven in other similar NH species).

thanks!
I was a bit iffy about it, since it wasn't quite the color of
M. sexta
but I couldn't find any info about other species that wasp parasitized. Thank you for the ID!

If it's alright, I'm going to move one photo to the Manduca sexta page, so I can add a data point for New Hampshire.
