Genus Anatrytone
Numbers
3 species in North America, listed under "Atrytone" (Nearctica.com). - See REMARKS section below
Range
Anatrytone logan distributed over the eastern two-thirds of US and adjacent parts of Canada.
A. mazai and A. potosiensis restricted to southern Texas.
(The Arogos Skipper is placed in a different genus - Atrytone - and is restricted to the midwest states and along the eastern US seaboard.)
Remarks
Although the Nearctica site lists 4 species under Atrytone (and makes no mention of Anatrytone), Layberry, Hall, & Lafontaine (2002) say:
"The genus Atrytone was recently restricted to just one species, arogos (Boisduval & Leconte); other members of the genus, including logan, were transferred to Anatrytone (Burns, 1994b)."
