Dragonfly - Sympetrum

Dragonfly - Sympetrum
Old Saybrook, Middlesex County, Connecticut, USA
July 19, 2014
Size: 1 inch
Probably a meadowhawk, maybe a black meadowhawk?

Looks like...
Saffron-winged Meadowhawk (note the orange wing bases and the pale stigmata)

Autumn
Saffron-winged would have darker legs, and pale wing veins, not just an amber spot. This is more typical of a fresh Autumn Meadowhawk.
