Clearwing borer? - Synanthedon exitiosa
Dedham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, USA
July 19, 2014
Size: about 2 cm
Nice clearwing moth in my yard--can't figure out what anatomy I should be looking at to distinguish peachtree borer from dogwood borer from whatever else this might be.

Moved
Moved from Sesioidea.
