Drab Brown Wave Moth - Lobocleta ossularia is very similar, but Lacks a row of dark spots on the abdomen.


Single-dotted Wave Moth - Idaea dimidiata has a smoothly curved PM line.


Most other (similar) species of Scopula have a pointed shape on the outer margin of the hind-wings or a bright-white ground coloration.
