Found in mesic woodlands in grass on side of road.

Euschistus sp.; has wings, which means it's an adult
awkward angle... if you want a heteropteran identified, taking a straight dorsal view is well worth extra effort and makes all the difference (other angles may help in some cases but are mostly of little, if any, use)
the same is true for most, if not all, insects that have dorsoventrally flattened bodies or keep their wings flat at rest (as opposed to roof-like position)
seeing the head in profile may be very important for many flies, some weevils, and a number of heteropteran and psocid taxa
