Is this Hypercompe permaculata? - Hypercompe permaculata
Eureka, Eureka County, Nevada, USA
July 15, 2014
Size: 27mm head to wingtip
I found this deceased moth on the ground in front of the public restrooms in Eureka while traveling home from the moth BioBlitz at Great Basin National Park. It's a little beat up and most of the legs and antennae are missing. It looks most similar to Hypercompe permaculata in the Moths of Western North America book.
