Dolichovespula arenaria
Sitka County, Alaska, USA

I'm not sure if there is enough to identify this to species. I'm also not sure if there is more than one species gathering fiber for nests, but they seem to like my deck.

Do you have any tips for how I can tell these apart from D. norvegecoides or maybe D. alpicola (which I've also found around where I live, based on identifications from photos I posted on bugguide)?
