Exciting find!
We haven't seen many of these on BugGuide. Can you give more details of the find? Was it somewhere that moths would appear for some reason in large numbers?

It was found in a wildlife sanctuary along the bay in Corpus Christi. I've only visited that location a couple of times, so I don't know the insects there very well. I visited during cold months, and did not find many species. But I was *very* excited to find this spider. It was non-responsive (as bolas spiders are said to be during the day).

Very
exciting is right!
Thanks for the great addition.
Images of Sosippus texanus and Hamataliwa unca would be a couple more great ones...

I'll do my best!
