Dragonfly - Aeshna tuberculifera

Dragonfly - Aeshna tuberculifera
Ellsworth, Hancock County, Maine, USA
July 24, 2014
Size: 1 3/4"
I don't know the name of this dragonfly but I watched it for almost a minute, could it be depositing eggs on the reed?

Moved
Moved from Mosaic Darners.

Black-tipped darner would be my best guess
Given that the blue on the abdomen is much reduced and the cerci appear to be quite long.

Darner
This is a Darner, and yes, depositing eggs into the plant tissue.

Name?
Are you able to tell me which Darner it is?

Mosaic darner
One of the Aeshna darners, but I don't know which one; 11 sp occur in Maine. Someone here will probably know.
