Cuterebra fontinella fontinella
This is a newly emerged mouse bot. The eyes are generally only this red for a while on the first day out of the ground. The nice white rump is a fontinella trait. This bot uses white-footed mice, Peromyscus leucopus as the main host. Thanks for posting. Sorry I missed this post earlier.
