Size: approx. 1 3/4 in.
Looking for the name of this type of wasp, I've never seen one quite this large in all my time photographing insects in various fields..if anyone knows what kind this is, I'd really appreciate it!

Thank you for naming this for me, this was the only one I actually saw, after this day of finding this paper wasp and photographing it, I couldn't find another anywhere in the field where I took this.
