Big, unknown bug - Cyphoderris

Big, unknown bug - Cyphoderris
Government Camp, Mt. Hood County, Oregon, USA
July 1, 2014
Size: 1.5 inches
Found near an alpine lake on Mt Hood. It was walking, not hopping. No wings that I could see.

Juvenile male
A juvenile male Cyphoderris - not the wider wing pads just posterior to the pronotum (larger than an adult female). The pronotum is also more flared posteriorly than a female's, which is very flat. I would guess C. monstrosa based on the location, size and overall colour pattern, but I can't be sure without seeing the subgenital plate.

Cyphoderris sp. nice find!
