Remarks
Due to the similarity in spelling, the genus Caenurgina is sometimes confused with Caenurgia, a genus in the same subfamily and tribe as Caenurgina.

The two species C. crassiuscula - the Clover Looper, and C. erechtea - the Forage Looper are sometimes very difficult to distinguish, and it should be noted that some of the species posted here on BugGuide may well be misidentified, although every effort is made to place them under the correct species. Some specimens are not identifiable from photographs alone.
