Callionima parce - Callionima falcifera

Callionima parce - Callionima falcifera
Englewood, Sarasota County, Florida, USA
April 13, 2006

Moved to Callionima falcifera
Moved from Callionima.

C. parce is treated as extralimital north of Mexico by St Laurent (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023)(1).

Moved
Moved from Parce Sphinx.

I believe this is C. falcifera
This should be C. falcifera. I will be seeking an additional few opinions before moving, but the fact that the area just to the base of the apical line is the same color as above the apical line and not lighter, points to this being falcifera.

As far as I am aware, there are no true records of C. parce in the USA.

Parce Sphinx
I'm unable to visually identify this as species parce (see discussion of ID difficulties on the species page) but it's the only Callionima species on the Lepidoptera of Florida Checklist, so I assume this must be parce.

Moved from Moths to new species page.
