Hyperaspis sp., female
ID confirmed from specimen, now a photo-voucher. Thanks Tom.

Very convex, so definitely not H. conviva. This leaves 5 potential species, 2 of which can surely be excluded by range. Thus the most likely are the widespread H. binotata and H. signata or, more interestingly, the more localized H. concavus, which is known from mountains in NY & NH.

lateral photo possible?
I'm getting a bit of an H. conviva gestalt here. The species is dorsolaterally flattened, especially the females, so if you could get a more lateral photo I might be able to ID it. (Either as H. conviva, or as "definitely not H. conviva"!)

No other pictures
These 2 are all I took. The specimen will eventually make its way to Brad.

okay, she's in the right place for now
Interested in his findings.
