Not surprisingly - we weren't even close!! Will have to look at these guys more often.

A bit tricky...

The head markings are not right for M. novaescotiae. The closest in my opinion is Indiopsocus bisignatus but without a close up look I can't be sure. The vertex markings are right, the range is right and the darker hue on the abdomen could be due partly to dark marking on the forewing.

. The Wizard of Normal is in Arizona right now. I wonder if he could make a definite ID?

We had skipped past that one

because the top of the head looked wrong to us. We had been staring at Hyalopsocus and Indiopsocus, but realized we didn't have a clue what one even looks at to begin! Will keep staring and see if we figure something out.
