Note...
1. that the dentes (arms of the fork) are about as long as the manubrium (basal part of the fork). In contrast with Isotoma in which the dentes are much longer than the manubrium.
2. the ventral tube or collophore inbetween the last legs; this ventral appendage of the first abdominal segment is unique to Collembola and gave them their scientific name (colla = glue, embola = piston). With this collophore, the Collembola can stick themselves to smooth surfaces.

I got lucky with getting an underside shot of this one. I used the bathroom sink to photograph it, and it got stuck like this in a drop of water.
