Does not look like Tipulogaster. Looks like Psilonyx frankly. Can't tell size from your shot. Certainly not Apachekolos.

 
Leptogaster
Ed, I believe this is Leptogaster brevicornis, based on the leg pattern, especially the light dark light dark light pattern on the hind tibiae (I'm looking at a specimen picture I have). Your date is right for that species.

it was between Leptogaster and Tipulogaster, i decided against Psilonyx because these seemed to be lacking that band of hairs on the abdomen. as for the size, regrettably i did not write it down, but if memory serves, these were around 15 to 20 millimeters... i do not know if i would trust memory though. anywho, Leptogaster sounds good to me, many thanks to Norm and Herschel.
