Schistocerca? - Schistocerca - female

Schistocerca? - Schistocerca - Female
Fort Polk, Vernon Parish, Louisiana, USA
September 24, 2008
Distinct orange color on this nymph. can anyone help me out with a species ID?

I'm not sure
especially because of the late date, but this looks like probably also S. alutacea. I would expect nymphs earlier, in the spring, but perhaps at this southern latitude they have more than one generation per year, or even breed year-round (??).
