Golden Beetle - Zonitis sayi

Golden Beetle - Zonitis sayi
Sterling, Logan County, Colorado, USA
August 3, 2014
Size: Half inch

Moved from ID Request. Here in Colorado, this species is closely associated with gumweed, the flower in this image.

Algidus is right all around

This is
A blister beetle. I'd say Zonitis species, but there is a note on the info page that mentions "telling apart Zonitis and Nemognatha from dorsal shots is often impossible"
