Tiny damselfly maybe

Tiny damselfly maybe
Ladner (Reifel Island), British Columbia, Canada
July 31, 2014
Size: about 2 cm long
This is a sad story. There were many of these flying beside the lagoons at Reifel Island, in the same vicinity as a host of bluets. They are about 2/3 of the size of a bluet, though, and very fast. I kept trying for a photo when this one landed directly in front of me, in a spider's web. But before I had even got the camera into position, the spider was upon it, and from then on, it was contorting and fighting the spider. I thought the wings might help with identification, but I don't know where to start looking.

Maybe Furrow Orbweaver ...
Larinioides cornutus for the spider. Araneus marmoreus has a similar ventral too but I'd expect to see more banding on the legs for that. Not positive from only this angle.
