Mayfly Nymph - Stenacron

Mayfly Nymph - Stenacron
La Follette? Norris Lake, Campbell County, Tennessee, USA
July 31, 2014
found at edge of lake in shallow water under a rock

I looked again
I truly believe this is most likely a Stenacron floridense. You also caught one female that aligns with that species from the same place.
If it is this would mean there range is all the way to Tennessee. I truly feel because Stenacron are not reported properly because of taxonomic issues that we should always consider range as suspect. This also aligns with a museum sample at bold the one I illustrated from.

Cool!
Thanks, Mack

Stenacron 4 sure
This one is also a Stenacron. The maculation pattern does suggest a particular form. This one lines up nicely with many of my samples of this form. I believe it is likely (Stenacron interpunctatum / conjunctum).
