Bee fly on chorizanthe - Lepidanthrax

Bee fly on chorizanthe - Lepidanthrax
Fort Ord, Monterey County, California, USA
June 11, 2014
There was more than one bee fly visiting the flowers here while I was taking photos. The individual here can be seen to be the same as that in the 1st and 3rd image in this series by noting that:

1) On the left wing, there's a distinctively shaped "nick" in the edge of the membrane just apicad of the ultimate portion of vein R5; and
2) Again, scrutinizing the left wing...and the thin vein edging its entire posterior margin...there is a(n inconspicuous but discernible) break in that marginal vein along the distal edges of the 2nd & 3rd posterior cells.
Those two markers, together with everything else (abdominal color pattern, etc) make it clear the 3 images here show the same individual.
