Several seem to feed on burdock; this one seems to (more or less) fit the description of P. cataphracta at http://wiki.bugwood.org/Archive:Borers/Papaipema_cataphracta, which also seems to rule out P. nebris. But there are at least P. limpida and P. arctivorens to consider as well...

 
This genus
is pretty easy to rear and an adult would give you an ID.
