Appeared in a vial containing a goldenrod leaf mined by Nemorimyza posticata. Larvae feed on rust spores. Specimen examined by R. Gagné.

Quite right--I checked with Dr. Gagné and he had switched them in his reporting (I guess because they came from the same host plant).

Specimen-photo mismatch?
I don't think this is Trotteria. The antennae appear to belong to a male Cecidomyiidi and the head is not enlarged between and behind the eyes.
