Chilocorus stigma
The rounded oval spots, positioned before the midpoint of the body, point to C. stigma. (The other two similar Eastern species are C. kuwanae, which has square spots at or aft of the midpoint, and C. cacti, whose range is expanding north but has not yet reached Georgia.)

While the "black with two red spots" pattern is common in many Hyperaspis species, there are several features separating them from Chilocorus. Most noticeably, Chilocorus has an explanate (flared) "rim" and appears helmet-shaped from the side. It also has black eyes and short black antennae; Hyperaspis has blue eyes and long, pale, thread-like antennae.

diff. subfamily [Chilocorinae]
