Fast nonstop zigzagger ant - side - Forelius pruinosus

Fast nonstop zigzagger ant - side - Forelius pruinosus
Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
August 7, 2014
Size: < 2mm
I've lived on this lot for about 10 years and I only first started noticing this particular species last week. They are small, at just under 2mm, and they run extremely fast, rarely stopping, constantly zigzagging the tiniest of zigzags. They seem crazy to me, according to the English meaning of the term, but I can tell that they are not Rasberry Crazy Ants.
