~100 spp. in ~15 genera in our area(1), ~160 spp. in 34 genera total (8 tribes, 3 subfamilies)(2)
Range
most of NA (Alaska to Guatemala) & East Asia • the dominant millipede family in NA, occurs in the Alaskan panhandle, across Canada (BC―NB), in every state of the continental US & Mexico, and in most of Guatemala. ―Rowland Shelley
