Catocalas confuse me a lot but I'm pretty sure this is
C. obscura.

C. judith vs. C. obscura
Look at the spread-winged version and note the edge of the underwings. Catocala obscura has a white edge to the underwing while C. judith shows lighter shade of gray rather than white.

If you look at the teeth on the PM line,
they appear to fit exactly into Bill O's description of obscura."The upper tooth of the pm line is slightly elongate with tips of subsequent teeth in an oblique line." Bill doesn't mention this characteristic either way in regards to judith, but in the pics he has up the teeth pattern is similar but the oblique line doesn't appear to be quite as aligned as in obscura. But as I said, Cats are confusing to me so I may very well be wrong, probably am......

There has a bit of discussion going on about Catacola judith on the Facebook Mothing and Moth-watching group. I've found this group very helpful in identifying moths. It's also interesting to see what others are finding across the country and in other countries, too. Three of us from different areas of Wisconsin have posted photos of similar Catacolas and they were all thought to be C. judith. I just posted this moth (with the wings spread) on FB today.
