Snow Flea - Hypogastrura nivicola

Size: ~ 1 mm
Small aggregation found at the base of a Freeman's Maple (Acer x freemanii). Can't really see the setae; my camera isn't good enough to capture such miniscule detail. But here's one for March in Ontario.

Hypogastrura nivicola
The group of hypogastrurid 'snow fleas' comprises Hypogastrura nivicola, harveyi, simsi and tooliki. We can exclude harveyi (the most common snow flea) given the relative short antennae. My guess is the second most common snow flea: nivicola.
