'monkey-faced' spider - Dolomedes vittatus

as large as the palm of my hand, I am assuming a female carrying its egg sack across the rocks along the path at Muddy Creek Falls - Hemlock grove

Fishing spider
My best prediction is a female Dolomedes vittatus.

Example:



Despite the large, imposing size, Dolomedes are harmless spiders.

Spiders in this genus can be variable in color and pattern, so wait for a confirmation of this ID from an expert.
