Moth seen on a lit front porch near midnight. Multiple other moths that are similar, but only one like this one.

I am a very new contributing editor moving files from ID Request to Moths today.

I am not qualified to make identifications to species, but we have moths in Texas with the same black trim on the hind-wings. They are Petrophilas. See to get to the family page to see what you think while you are waiting for an expert.
