Moved, Scopula inductata
Moved from Scopula. I think color balance is just off.

Moved from Geometrid Moths.

This would be way out of range but it looks like . They are not often identified so maybe they are under reported.

I just looked up a moth for another submitter and was surprised by the variety that I found in the Large Lace Border Moth. Go to MPG and look at that species. I thought one actually might look like yours.

Yes, I see what you mean. Thanks for the info.

Moved from ID Request.

Hello
Francis,

I am a new contributing editor just making routine moves from earlier ID Requests to Moths.

You are out of my area and I don't know this moth. Sorry I cannot make a comment.

Moth
Thank you. I was hoping somebody would recognize it. Guess the photo does't show enough details.

.
I didn't think your picture was poor, you are just out of my area and I did not recognize it.

I went looking and I think you might scroll through plate 17.5 at MPG. I found some similar ones that are supposed to be in your area, but I could not get comfortable with any specific one.

Sorry to be so little help. I think you could still get an expert opinion out of your post.
