Seed Bug - Ligyrocoris obscurus - Male
Deane, Letcher County, Kentucky, USA
August 12, 2014
Size: 7mm
In sweep net.

Ligyrocoris obscurus Barber, male
Moved from Zeridoneus costalis. ID'd from specimen, now a photo-voucher. Thanks Lisa.

I'm pretty sure this is right. This is an intermediate species, with characters of both Zeridoneus and Ligyrocoris. Its pronotum is very similar to Zeridoneus but it has faint, obscure stridulatory areas.

Moved tentatively; cool bug, stumped me for a sec
Moved from True Bugs.

Thanks,
I tried to find it before I posted it , but gave up.
