Bagworm caterpillar on Rudbeckia - Synchlora

Bagworm caterpillar on Rudbeckia - Synchlora
Baltimore City County, Maryland, USA
August 18, 2014
This appears to be a caterpillar of the Psychidae (bagworm moth) family. It is constructing a case using Rubeckia hirta seeds, and I understand that different species of lepidoptera specialize in particular plants.

Looks like a Geometrid moth larva, Synchlora sp.
