Large Male Spitting Spider - Scytodes atlacoya - male

Large Male Spitting Spider - Scytodes atlacoya - Male
Summerville, Dorchester County, South Carolina, USA
August 18, 2014
Size: 1 cm (body length)
Around 5:30 in the morning, my husband said, "I think a spitting spider just crawled across my face." (Fortunately for the spider, he was awake enough not to reflexively slap it.) We turned on the lights and searched the bed, and sure enough, there was a large male spitting spider.

I snapped some pictures of him and sent him on his way.
