Isodontia elegans? - Polistes hirsuticornis

Isodontia elegans? - Polistes hirsuticornis
Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Kings County, New York, USA
August 16, 2014

Polistes cf. hirsuticornis
The pleuron and clypeus of this female appears more shiny than usual which would point to hirsuticornis. However, one can't be completely certain because identification of this species relies on characters that are hard to see on photographs. If it's true this would be the first live image of this species I am aware of! Nice work!
