Which Prominent? Heterocampa obliqua? - Heterocampa obliqua - Male
Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, USA
August 17, 2014
Size: forewing ~21mm
Attracted to black light. I browsed the Notodontidae where I think it should be but cannot find a satisfactory match. By my judgment, #7983 Heterocampa obliqua is the best, taking into account its apparent great variability. Please help.

Heterocampa obliqua
After additional browsing and evaluations of my moth's features in comparison to images posted for 7983 Heterocampa obliqua I have decided that I can move this image to that species' page. Most, but not all, posted images in BG and MPG have a brownish patch above the apex and some brown in the basal area. My moth is one of those lacking both, except for barely noticeable traces.
