Phid female - Phidippus otiosus - female

Phid female - Phidippus otiosus - Female
Conway, Faulkner County, Arkansas, USA
March 13, 2007
Size: 10-11 mm
I had to fell a dead pine on my property that was dangling over a road and was afterward distracted by shooting this lovely female jumper. She is the first insect subject I have had this year. I decided she was a Phid otiosus after looking her over closely. Must have been living way up in the pine tree.

Moved from Phidippus otiosus.

Fine images
of a beautiful subject.
I guess I will have to go out and cut down some dead pine trees.
